Ice along the Pictured Rocks Lakeshore is not like ice on a normal lake. Large waves and storms pile ice as high as 30 feet above the surface of Lake Superior. If you fall through this ice, into a crevasse, or over the edge, I would consider your chances of survival to be somewhere around zero.
